Atari Named Finalist in PRWeek Awards Program

Atari, Inc. (NASDAQ:ATARD) , one of the world’s most recognized brands and a third-party video game publisher, has been named a finalist in the PRWeek Awards 2007 program for excellence in the public relations field in the Arts, Entertainment & Media category. The competition is the industry’s highest accolade, given annually to the best corporate, non-profit, and agency teams, as well as for the campaigns they produce.

Atari was nominated for its campaign supporting the critically-acclaimed Test Drive Unlimited game, developed for the Xbox 360(TM) video game and entertainment system from Microsoft. Test Drive Unlimited (TDU) for the Xbox 360 was the company’s first entry into the next-generation console market. PRWeek received nearly 700 entries in 32 categories for work done during the last year. Winners will be announced at a gala ceremony to be held at Tavern on the Green in New York City, on March 8, 2007.
